The
Grand Prairie Arts Council’s Board of Directors proudly announces the
winners of the
1st
Annual Ruthe Awards - Honoring
the Shining Stars of the Arts in Grand Prairie.
The
Awards were presented on Saturday, December 15 during a reception at the
Grand Prairie Woman’s Club Building.
Grand
Prairie’s original Shining Star, The Honorable Mayor Pro Tem Mrs.
Ruthe Jackson, received the first ever Shining Star Award for her
support and vision for the Arts in our community. Mrs. Jackson served as
Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening, presenting a commemorative star
plaque to the winners in each category.
