Student Scholarships

 

Grand Prairie Arts Council Fine Arts Scholarship 

Deadline: May 1, 2010 (postmarked)

A downloadable application is now available on the GPAC website at www.artsgp.com - Scholarships page, or by mail by calling the Arts Council at 972-642-2787. Applications forms are also available through the counselor’s office at SGPHS & GPHS.

Description: These scholarships are intended to reward fine arts students for past accomplishments and to encourage future pursuits. Awarded to a graduating student, residing within the Grand Prairie city limits, with a “C” average or better and who is planning to pursue post secondary education following graduation. High School Transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay are required. Participants in an Arts Council production will be given special consideration.  

Amount: $1,000 (two may be awarded)

Grand Prairie Arts Council Volunteer Scholarship

Description: This scholarship is intended to reward a student for volunteering for the Grand Prairie Arts Council. Awarded to a graduating Grand Prairie student with a “C” average or better, planning to pursue post-secondary education following graduation. High School Transcript, two letters of recommendation and an essay are required. Preference will be given to those students who have helped out over a year’s time OR periodically over two or more years. 

Amount: $1,000 (one may be awarded)
