Uptown Theater Project

The Uptown Theater
In 2005, the city of Grand Prairie purchased the Main Street Uptown
Movie House. The theater is now undergoing renovation, and will reopen
as a 400 seat live performance theatre. When it reopens in the fall of
2008, the Uptown Theater will be the home for the events of the Grand
Prairie Arts Council; a facility to showcase the community arts programs
that are flourishing in our community.
