Theatre Auditions for the Grand Prairie Arts Council’s Fall Theatre
Production of GODSPELL
Conceived
and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, with music and new
lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, GODSPELL
is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of
all time. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as
clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, GODSPELL is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of
Jesus,
with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.
Casting:
five men, five women and an ensemble chorus, ages 18 to 30 something.
Auditions:
July 23, Thursday, 6:00 - 9:00 pm
July 25, Saturday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Callbacks
are set for July 26, Sunday (if needed).
Location:
Grand Prairie Arts Council Studio - 116A East Main Street, Grand
Prairie, 75050
Next door to the Uptown Theater,
in downtown Grand Prairie.
No
appointment needed. Attend one audition date, come and go anytime during
audition times. Cold reading from the script.
Prepare a brief song, at least one verse and a refrain. Accompanist will
be provided - you must provide sheet music in your key.
May bring a CD, CD player will be provided. Be prepared to dance. Photo
will be taken and auditions will be videotaped to aid in casting.

begin July 28, schedule will be available at auditions.
Performance dates are October 1-4 & 8-11.
Rehearsals and performances will be at the Uptown Theater.
